Where does true beauty come from?

Picture of Jamie

This week on the podcast, I interviewed this beautiful woman. Her name is Jamie and she has been blessed with both physical and inner beauty. She has had her share of trials, but she has maintained a positive attitude and dedicated her life to serving and uplifting others. Even when the doctors gave her a very small chance of survival, she worried about her family and friends and the experience they were having. She was grateful for her husband and the way he cared for her and their family while she was unable to do her part. She survived her accident and uses the story to inspire others. She has found her purpose and desires to live life to the fullest. She is a loving wife and mother of 4 children. She wakes up every morning ready to do her part to make the world a better place.

So what makes someone truly beautiful? I’ll give you a hint…it doesn’t have anything to do with your body weight, hair color, skin tone, teeth or cheek bones. It doesn’t matter how often you wash your hair or how well you can do your make up or how often you get your nails done. True beauty comes from within. It comes from the confidence you carry, your ability to live your purpose, serve others and contribute. It comes from your ability to be authentic and vulnerable and learn from your mistakes. It comes from being unapologetically YOU! It’s the knowledge that no one is perfect and other people are just doing the best they can. It comes from a forgiving heart and a desire to be and do good in the world. THIS is where true beauty comes from.

Join me next Monday, March 26th On the Brighter Side as I will discuss this topic more in depth and with more details. Anyone can be beautiful. You can find the beauty within yourself and in those around you. This is great news!
