Biscuit dough baked with cheese and sauce inside. Portable, fluffy, and fun — great for lunchboxes or snacks.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 (7.5 ounce) package refrigerated
  • buttermilk biscuits
  • 1/3 cup shredded mozzarella
  • cheese

Directions

  1. Pour butter into a 9-in. square baking dish; set aside. In a bowl,
  2. combine the tomato sauce, onion, oil, garlic, basil and oregano.
  3. Cut each biscuit into four wedges; dip into tomato mixture.
  4. Place in prepared pan; pour any remaining tomato mixture over top.
  5. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Bake at 400 degrees F for 18-22
  6. minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.
