Onion Brie Pizza

Sweet caramelized onions and creamy brie cheese make this pizza both luxurious and delicious. A sophisticated choice for pizza enthusiasts.

Ingredients

  • 6 medium sweet onions, thinly
  • sliced
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 (16 ounce) package hot roll mix
  • 1 1/4 cups warm water (110
  • degrees to 115 degrees f)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces brie cheese, rind
  • removed, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1/3 cup sliced almonds

Directions

  1. In a large skillet, cook onions in butter over medium-low heat for 25
  2. minutes or until golden brown, stirring occasionally. Meanwhile,
  3. prepare hot roll mix according to package directions, using the
  4. warm water and oil. Place dough in a greased bowl, turning once to
  5. grease top. Cover and let stand for 5 minutes.
  6. Roll out dough to a 14-in. circle; transfer to a greased 14-in. pizza
  7. pan. Top with onions, Brie and almonds. Bake at 400 degrees F for
  8. 18-20 minutes or until golden brown. Let stand for 10 minutes
  9. before cutting.
