This delicious, malai curry is so easy to make. The word malai means cream, but this curry gets its creaminess from coconut milk. This is a recipe from Bengal, which is famous for its seafood. Serve it with steamed basmati rice.
This grilled garlic and herb shrimp recipe is very easy, IF you can just walk out into the backyard, and pick a handful of your own fresh, green sprigs. However, these are so amazingly delicious, if you don't have a garden, then do splurge and buy a bunch of all the herbs. And get the extra large shrimp so they can grill longer and get maximum caramelization.
This poached whitefish recipe is paleo-friendly and easy to make! Use any firm, white-fleshed fish, like halibut or cod.
This is a rich and tasty Italian calamari recipe. Calamari has an unfair reputation for being tricky to work with and that it's rubbery when cooked. Here's the secret... Cook it for 45 seconds or 45 minutes — very quickly or a long slow simmer. For this marinara dish, I use the long simmer method.
Sweet raisins, sour olives and piquant capers conspire to make this a memorable main dish.
This is a quick weeknight meal, and with the right tools, you'll have a fabulous meal on the table in under 30 minutes! I used a ginger tool by microplane to cut my ga
Shrimp is one of my favorite weeknight meals because it is so quick to prepare! The Cuban-style marinade for this Cuban-style mojo shrimp recipe is full of citrus flavors with a few surprises. Typically, mojo means a flavor based on Seville oranges, and these sour oranges can be hard to find. But some extra lime, grapefruit, and vinegar stand in for any brightness from the missing Seville oranges. The red pepper flakes add a little zing, so if you like spicy foods, feel free to add more to your taste. We like this with white rice and black beans or grilled mixed veggies.
Seared sea scallops over a fresh grapefruit-fennel salad with shallot vinaigrette.
This ginataang manok is a Filipino chicken dish flavored with ginger and coconut milk. Each family has their own version; this is my mother's. It's a rich dish that makes your kitchen smell so wonderful! Once my family smells the ginger frying and coconut milk simmering, they can't wait for it to be done so they can dig in. I salt it liberally, as the coconut milk tends to hide the salt flavor.
