The Real Jeans We Love On Our Real Bodies (+ How A Barrel Jean Looks On 3 Different Women)

Image

Drescription

We are jeans people. It’s not that we don’t love dresses, skirts, etc. but most of the time we are sporting a beloved pair of denim. Last week, we were chatting about the barrel jean trend and thought maybe we should all do a try-on to see how each of us liked them. But then Em had a better (and VERY generous) idea. I mean, jean styles are super personal and rarely does a single pair of jeans work on everyone, despite what a certain movie might have us believe:). Emily offered to pay for a pair of jeans that we LOVED (max $140 then anything above that would be on us). Obviously, that amount of money is plenty for what’s on the current market and needless to say, we were very excited and so grateful. Some jeans are ones we already owned and are still available while others are brand new. We were PUMPED to try some new styles. Come see what we are wearing:)

Emily

Y’all this denim world is cracking me up – apparently skinny jeans ARE back but only with certain types of boots of a certain height? And while we likely hit peak barrel jean last year, they are going nowhere (because they are far more flattering than just the pure baggy jeans). It’s all making me LOL. Obviously, I typically love a skinny jean but also have gotten used to not having the constriction (once I went “drop crotch” it’s been hard to go back). I bought these Madewell jeans at the end of last year and I was very very very surprised at how good they are. I don’t love all Madewell jeans (often I feel like they don’t keep me in around the places that I want more control). I think it took a long time for big brands to get the cut of the barrel jean right, in a more affordable way. These are mid-rise which I prefer on my short torso/big love pillowed frame. I prefer these with a bit of a heel for some height, but I wear them with sneakers a lot, too.

Caitlin

I’m kicking off 2025 with some unexpected, last-minute travel – and, when left with minutes to pack my suitcase, I eschewed all other bottoms in favor of two pairs of Everlane’s Way-High Curve Jeans. This isn’t my first time singing their praises on the blog (I really love them, gang), but I’m still so pleased with the way that they fit and fall on my bottom-heavy body. It’s often a challenge finding pants that don’t cling to my big thighs and ultra-wide hips, and it can be pretty discouraging – like, why can’t I just wear clothes like everyone else? – but these jeans make me feel like a million bucks. They fall just around my belly button, which is the perfect spot for me (unlike Em, I love a high-rise!) and they’re comfortable enough to wear all day even when I’m just working from home. If you’re also rocking a pear shape, I really think you’ll love these – they just bring some really nice balance to my bottom half! I got a 31, which is my normal Madewell/Anthro size (and I go for the 27″ inseam because I love a little sock pop!). I have 3 pairs – in Calico Ecru, Pure Blue, and Ocean (above) – and I’m just so, so, so happy that I took the plunge on them.

Jess

Before I went to Everlane in person, my favorite jeans were the lighter blue ones on the left! Big kudos to Les Bunge for picking them out and giving them to me as a Christmas present. I love the high waist, the wide but not too wide leg, and the fun detail at the bottom. My only issue is that the “cuff detail” doesn’t necessarily go with every situation I’m dressing for (mainly evening things). Anyway, when I went to the store I tried on the Deep Blue version and loved them too! I did refrain from buying since the next two are what I came home with. I simply didn’t need THREE pairs of new jeans, especially when I have one of those three in a slightly different style. But if you do need a simple, wide-ish leg these are 20/10 for me. I did size down in the photo since they do “relax” fairly quickly and I was on the cusp of the two sizes anyway (plus, I prefer a tighter fit). FYI I’m a day or two in of wearing the lighter blue ones in the bigger size if knowing that is helpful. Still so happy with them!

P.S. I feel like I should say that I am a HUGE Everlane jean stan (as you will soon continue to read). Every pair I’ve ever owned (which is 4 styles now) I’ve loved. The fits are a dream and the prices are on par or lower than Madewell. I also have to say that if you live in LA, there’s a location in Venice (the only location actually) with just the best people who work there. Any time I’ve shopped (probably 4ish times now) they have gone above and beyond and are just generally so fun. I promise this is in no way sponsored, just genuinely think they are great.

Now, those jeans on Kaitlin are ones I have been eyeing because first off they are SO cute on her and she literally calls them “the best jeans ever”. And as you just read, they are LA Caitlin’s favorite too! The nudge and generosity from Emily gave me the perfect excuse to give them a try…

TA-DA!! And I also love them. I know barrel jeans aren’t everyone’s cup of tea but I think they are so freaking fun and add a very cool shape to what can (and usually will) be a simple outfit knowing me. One of my three “style words” (words that help you shop for a cohesive style/wardrobe) is “architectural” and for me, these fit the bill. What I also love is that the denim is on the thinner side (and soft but not too soft) which lets the pant legs still sorta outline your real leg. That way you feel less “stiff clown pants” and more “look, I still have legs in these fun pants”. These were true to size for me and I chose the 27″ inseam which is what they label as “regular” in-store. So if you are taller maybe go for the 29″ inseam. Oh, I’m basically 5’4″ for reference.

A surprise! I went into the store on a mission. I wanted to try Kailtin’s barrel jeans first and foremost but then try a handful of other styles just to see. Well…I found another style. I think the first words out of my mouth (as in out loud to myself in the dressing room) were “OH, these are so cool”. There was just simply no way I could leave without them. They fit similar to The Way-High® Sailor Jean but with slightly wider legs. Now let’s talk about THOSE POCKETS. I just can’t say how much I love their size, shape, and how they wrap around the side. I’ve never owned anything like these and I’m almost too happy to own them. I might act like a little kid in their favorite outfit and sleep in them. I sized down in these if that’s helpful!

Mallory

So I’ve been rocking these $35 H&M wide-leg jeans for almost a year now (I have them in 2 colorways I love them so much!) but I really wanted a jean that was less baggy and more fitted without being fully skinny (but also thank god skinny jeans are on their way back — Alix Earle THANK YOU).

So I went to Paige because I’ve literally always wanted a pair of Paige jeans…my friend used to work at their corporate office and said they literally design their jeans to make your booty pop. WELL POP IT DOES in these Laurel Canyon boot-cut jeans!! I’m so so obsessed with them because they’re SO comfy and stretchy but somehow still hug tight and lift the backend. Very into them (debating hemming them just a bit but we’ll see. I’m also not opposed to just wearing a taller shoe with them or rocking a version of Kendrick Lamar’s jeans). Paige, I thank you for these jeans that are somehow both incredibly comfortable but are also flattering and sexy. YOU DID IT.

Gretchen

Normally you can find me wearing a pair of vintage men’s Levi’s purchased from a thrift store–worn in with a bit of a straight leg, slightly cropped, and with plenty of leg room. But these can be hard to come by and because they’re men’s, sometimes there’s a little too much room in certain areas, if you catch my drift. I’ve been looking for a pair of women’s jeans that give me the same effortless, vintage vibe but a pair that fits my body better. Oh honey, did I find them. I picked up these perfect Pistola Mid-Rise Bowed Straight-Leg jeans (a mouthful) and have been living in them ever since! They’re a beautiful, classic wash, hit right at my ankles, and sit exactly where I want them to on my hips. But they have a realllllly great shape–a mostly straight leg style that bows ever so slightly at the knee. They’re almost barrel jeans, but not as exaggerated, which works best for me. I can’t really pull off the barrel jean the way so many cool girls can, but this pair makes me feel like I’m one of them anyway! A little on the pricier side, but to me, definitely worth it!

Marlee

Yay for jeans under $100! I just grabbed another pair of these mid-rise straight leg jeans from Free People – I love these because while the silhouette is super simple, they have a raw hem and a double knee detail that makes them feel special without doing too much! The wash is a perfect indigo and they come in a bunch of other washes – these are the “Be Bold” wash, but eyeing them in a cream color too. They have a tiny bit of crop – I’m 5’8” and pants are notoriously short on me so I typically avoid cropped inseams but these hit at a perfect spot (they come in a short version too if you’re looking for some extra crop!). I’m in between sizes so I sized up this time for a looser fit, but I also have them in a size down in the black and those are a little more fitted in the butt (in a good way). Love them with sneakers and boots for now but excited to wear these around this summer with a cute tee and sandals!

Those are the picks! Do you have any you might want to try? Got a favorite you want to share with the class?? Hope this was a fun little insight into our personal styles and gave you a few new ideas you might want to test out.

And THANKS AGAIN to Emily.

6 Reasons Why Your Tomatoes Grew Too Small This Year, and How to Fix It

Tomatoes are a great place to start if you're looking to grow your own produce, but that doesn't mean they're not without their own issues. Making it through the growing phase, having ducked and dodged blight, hornworms, blossom end rot, and all the other problems a tomato plant might run into can feel like a success of its own. Which is why it's extra disappointing when the fruit is just... small. Here are six reasons why your tomatoes are too small, and all the ways you can correct them for a bountiful harvest in the future. Extreme Drought or Heat Most varieties of tomato require full sun, but that doesn't mean they're necessarily fit for extreme conditions. Heat and drought are the number one reason why tomato fruits fall short of their expected size. It's important to keep an eye on soil moisture levels and keep plants well-watered with at least 1 to 1.5 inches of water per week. The soil should never dry out; this will lead to quick wilting. Tomatoes don't typically flourish in temperatures above 85°F, but we also can't help where we live. If your local temperatures consistently rise above this, consider investing in a shade cloth, and increase watering to twice daily. Consider planting in a container, where the plants can be moved into the shade—or just out of harsh, direct sun—as needed. Want more gardening tips? Sign up for our free gardening newsletter for our best growing tips, troubleshooting hacks, and more! Poor Pollination If pollinating by hand, this should occur at least every other day during the growing season. If you're relying on pollinators to get the job done, consider making your yard more pollinator-friendly: plant attractive plants, provide a source of water (not stagnant), and decrease potential predators like bats or pets. Too Many Fruits It's important to pick fruits as they ripen; leaving tomatoes on the vine can not only cause splitting and other damage to the fruit itself, but also increase the number of fruits a single plant has to put effort into growing and supporting. You'll know tomatoes are ready to pick when it is a vibrant shade of its expected color, has a shiny look, feels tender, and comes off the vine easily. Too Much Nitrogen An excess of nitrogen in the soil has been known to cause smaller fruits. If you're unsure about your soil composition, you can buy a DIY test kit to gain insight into what's happening below the surface. If nitrogen levels are too high, consider working in a lower nitrogen fertilizer to balance it out. Pests Pests cause stress on plants that divert their energy to healing and surviving, instead of thriving and producing delicious, juicy tomatoes. If you spotted some common tomato pests hanging around your plants as they grow, don't be surprised if your fruit comes out a bit small at the end of the season. Next year, keep a close eye on early warning signs to fight these infestations in their early stages. Watering by hand keeps you close to the plant on a regular basis and makes it easier to spot problems earlier. Plant Diseases The same goes for plant diseases as for pests. Know the early signs of what different common tomato diseases look like, and you'll be able to help your plant fight it off early.

I Tried On Everything At H&M And These Are My 9 Cute And Affordable Summer Outfits

Last Friday, I went to the mall (Pioneer Square to be specific) with the goal of finding some affordable summer outfits and play clothes, but instead, I basically tried on the entire store to find some things that I liked across a few categories (summer office clothes, too). I don't take pics of what doesn't work (a waste of time and would likely include some self-body shaming that is bad for everyone involved), so what you see here today is what I really really like and think passes a lot of tests. Now to remember, I'm more apple shaped (bigger boobs, smaller hips/legs) and right now I'm around a size 4 so I'll indicate the size I'm wearing because sizes at stores right now are WILD and nothing is consistent across the board making it really hard to buy sight unseen. A solid summer chore jacket - lightweight denim, huge pockets, easy fit to layer over. LOVED IT. But we are all here for the pants. I tried on every single wide-leg linen pant they had, and this is the only one that I felt like had a drape that didn't read as pajamas. The cream and grey stripe is flattering and could be worn with flip flops or elevated a bit (but not too much). I want to wear these all summer when I don't have self-tanner on my legs (which is never, LOL - this is my new at-home favorite and develops in TWO HOURS). I don't want to hate on loose linen pants, but often I just feel a bit schlubby in them out of the house - not these!! How cute is this set???? So great for park hangs, over a bathing suit, mall shopping - anywhere where you want to be cool and casual but not look boring. These have a GREAT fit for me with a nice boxy top with a rounded shirt hem (i.e., not straight across), and the shorts don't hug, cut in, or gather in weird places. I wouldn't typically wear this set with those Nisolo Mules (still a favorite pair for almost any occasion where I want to be comfortable with a heel for hours), but with flip flops, sneakers or even cute wedges, this yellow and white stripe allows me to enjoy this summer yellow trend without investing too much financially. Affordable summer outfit, check! This is a fantastic summer suit if I had an office job. It's linen and looks really high-end, but is so affordable! My lifestyle does not support me having a white suit set (although if I were headed to New York for work meetings, I would totally buy this). The blouse is easy and lightweight (not a total slam dunk, but cute enough). Another one, but make it a skort! And cream (which I can do a bit better than bright white). I loved the cut of the jacket - strong shoulders that drape really well. The skort is pretty dang cute - skirt in the front, shorts in the back. And that ribbed tank top is pretty great - for $9.99, it comes in a few colors. Great to layer, not too see-through, or did it show my bits and bobs. I'm wearing a medium but would size down if I wanted it more fitted (it was loose as a medium). Proof of skort :) Likely my favorite of the work looks - these navy blue shorts are so cute and pairing them with the crisp white blazer felt pretty "me". The shorts are formal enough that I think you could totally wear them to work (or anywhere, really). The linen blouse has cute ruffled sleeves and isn't like doing anything new in this world, but if you need more airy white linen blouses, this one is great and affordable. Listen, I'm not a huge white denim wearer year-round or in the summer, but this set is SO CUTE. I bought the top enthusiastically because I have it in denim (wearing it right now actually) and it's a solid shacket. In cream with the button and pocket detail is solid (and it's lightweight, not a super thick heavy denim). The jeans were long on me and high-waisted - so I didn't get them, but they were great if you like straight-legged high-waisted denim! Oh! Here is the white denim shirt as a shacket with these awesome pull-on linen shorts. Again, I tried on many linen shorts and these were my fave by far. Cute, affordable, flare out a little bit (no hugging or cutting in at the waist). I also really liked these shorts with the tie at the top. I think these pair best with a tank top tucked in, which I rarely do, so they aren't for me, but my team agreed they were really good if you are into that look. The last two things, which admittedly don't make the best outfit, but individually, the pieces are great. Baggier jean shorts with a drawstring/elastic waist (so comfy) that flair out a bit. Solid summer play shorts. Then the linen shirt is SO GOOD. Easy to wear, so breathable, forgiving/flattering stripe pattern, dress her up or down = solid summer shirt. Where should I go next for affordable summer outfits and clothes????? I tried Mango (and failed) but haven't been to Old Navy in a bit...Just say the word... Oh, and if any of these are sold out online, I would absolutely check your local H&M if you have one. How Often to Water Your Petunias—4 Rules a Gardener Swears By

Grow them in pots, planters, or straight in your garden and petunias will reward you with big, bold flowers that just don’t quit. But if you want these colorful plants to keep on blooming from spring through fall, it’s important to water them right and just when they need it. Whether you’re new to growing petunias or just want to take your plants to the next level, this petunia watering guide is packed with expert tips on how and when to water petunias for peak flowering and healthier plants. Meet the Expert Cynthia Haynes, PhD. is a professor of horticulture at the Iowa State University. Eva Ward oversees the annual greenhouse team at Ward’s Nursery. Signs Your Petunias Need Watering Petunias wilt quickly if they don’t get enough water, and drop leaves, turn brown, and die back if their soil gets super dry. But you don’t need to wait for your plants to show signs of stress to know it’s time to water them: Just take a good hard look at the soil they’re growing in. “Petunias don’t like to stay wet for long periods, so check the soil first before watering,” says horticulture professor Cynthia Haynes. “Just scratch around the top inch of soil with your fingers to see if it’s dry, or lift smaller containers to check their weight. Then, water when the top inch of soil dries out or the container feels light.” Want more gardening tips? Sign up for our free gardening newsletter for our best growing tips, troubleshooting hacks, and more! When Is the Best Time to Water Petunias? Like other plants, petunias absorb water best if you water them in the morning or in the evening a little before sunset. If you water petunias when the sun is high overhead, it can increase the amount of water that’s lost to evaporation and make it harder for your plants to absorb the water they need. That said, if your plants look stressed, it's better to water them right away than wait until morning. “Petunias are heavy drinkers and don’t recover well if the soil gets too dried out,” says plant expert Eva Ward. “Don’t wait for petunias to droop—water stress opens plants up to pests and many other problems.” How Often to Water Your Petunias Petunias should be watered often enough to keep their soil evenly moist, but not so frequently that their roots get waterlogged and start to rot. Exactly how often to water petunias can vary depending on the season, the size of your plants, the temperature, and the pots your petunias are growing in. “Watering frequency could be every 2 to 3 days, or daily if it’s a large plant in a hanging basket in full sun,” says Ward. “For larger patio containers, always keep the soil surface moist and use a lightweight mulch like buckwheat hulls to prevent evaporation.” Petunias growing in the garden will typically require less water than potted plants and may only need to be watered once a week. But this watering frequency can also vary, so always test the soil with your finger before you water. The Right Way to Water Your Petunias There’s no one-size-fits-all watering schedule for petunias. But in general, you’ll need to water petunias less in spring and more when temperatures rise and the plants fill out in summer. Being flexible with watering and following these simple tips will help you avoid underwatering or overwatering your plants and encourage petunias to flower more. Water Deeply “When watering, water deeply,” advises Ward. “And make sure the soil is fully moist and that excess water drains out of planter drainage holes.” The best way to do this is to water low and slow with your hose or a drip irrigation system. Deep, slow watering allows water to penetrate well into the soil around petunia roots and can keep gardens and planters from drying out too quickly. Keep Leaves Dry Like other plants, petunias can develop mildew issues if their leaves stay wet too long. To avoid this, water your plants in the morning and direct water to the soil line to keep it from splashing up on your plant's leaves. Don’t Overdo It Don’t be tempted to water petunias if their soil still feels wet. Overwatering is a surefire way to stress out your plants and cause petunias to wilt, yellow, or die from rot. Add Fertilizer “You’ll get the best flowers if you use a blossom booster liquid fertilizer with every other watering all season," Ward says. "Or if you prefer a slow-release granular blossom booster, scratch that into the soil surface around petunias in mid-June, mid-July, and mid-August.” Applying fertilizer when the soil is already moist helps petunias absorb it faster and can prevent fertilizer burn.

What We (And You All) Bought During The Biggest Sale Weekend Of The Year

Last weekend was the biggest online sales weekend of probably ALL TIME considering so many of us were stuck inside. And we just think it’s genuinely interesting to find out what the heck everyone was buying (and based on this post and this post, so do you:)). So…welcome to today’s post of “what we all bought and what you bought too during Black Friday/Cyber Monday!!” Now let’s dig right in and start with Em… EMILY This last weekend I bought A BUNCH of my kids’ Christmas presents (I feel SO on top of it this year) and this holiday candle making kit was one of them. Honestly, we might break into this early because you all know how much I love Christmas crafts and I might be more excited for this than my own kids. I bought these leggings for me and matching ones for Birdie because it’s cold up here and it’s getting even colder. I can never have enough fleece leggings and for $20 for mine and $10 for Birdie, these are a great buy for the price. I’m so excited for my kids to play this educational STEM game. Any game that’s fun AND educational is a big win in my book (homeschooling is HARD), and this is one I think Charlie will get very excited about. You can configure this game in a bunch of different ways to make a light turn on or a fan move…(watch the video to see what I mean). I call it engineering class :) I bought parkas for me and the kids from Uniqlo (seriously we cannot get enough jackets/beanies/warm anything up here). This pink one is for Birdie (she only wears things with pink, purple, or unicorns on it), this matching blue one is for Charlie, and then I couldn’t help but grab a longer navy version for myself…they’re all very affordable for winter puffer jackets & I love how light and comfy they are. JESS I have been eyeing this chunky boot trend for a minute and these were both cute and far more affordable than most of the others I was looking at. Fingers crossed they are a hit! P.S. I sent them to Veronica for style approval and she said that she loved them so my hopes are really high now:) When I saw this necklace on Em’s gift guide I knew I wanted it. It’s so cute, very hip, AND really affordable. Basically. a no brainer and can’t wait to add it to my 2021 everyday look :) Ok, this was my big splurge but hear me out. I live in an ooooold building with oooold pipes. A couple of weeks ago was just one of those “I don’t even have time to shower” kinda weeks…so I didn’t. Then when I went to turn on the water…it was brown for 2 seconds. Not ideal. SO since I left my more affordable filtered shower head at my old apartment, I decided that it was time to upgrade. I mean why buy nice beauty products if I’m showing in rust water, right? (I also bought mine at Bed Bath & Beyond but it’s currently sold out there) In my gift guide, I linked to the Target version of these but they were sold out everywhere around me AND couldn’t ship. So I was stoked to find these puppies at Anthro that are so similar (although more expensive). I can’t wait to feel the fanciest and the most cozy in my home. MALLORY If I’m being completely real I went to my gift guide and was checking out what was on sale (lol) during Black Friday. I was SO happy to find this workout set that I’ve been watching for QUITE some time was $60 off. I can’t wait to wear it and workout in it every day and feel cute but also a little extra. I’m also excited to mix and match the top and the leggings with some of the workout clothes I already have! I grabbed these hoops and it’s matching ring for someone super secretive in my life (and I think she’s gonna know who it is if she reads it and to be honest I’m nervous), but I’m very excited about it because there’s no better gift than good quality gold jewelry. NOTO lip stain (how many times have I linked this now?? It’s too good) I bought a few of these (in varying colors) for pretty much everyone I know for Christmas. My personal favorite colors are the Ono Ono (which is more orang-ey) and Touch (which is more pink-ey) And since they’re so good I also snuck the one color I’ve been eyeing for myself into my cart…this beautiful deep red HOLLAAA. I got a pair of these baddies for another special person in my life. I’ve come to find that these are the BEST workout and walking shoes, which is critical because all we do for fun these days is go on long walks (trying to hit that 10,000 steps a day ya feel?). SO I got these and am very excited to give them to a very special lady…when she tried mine on she was like “WOAH IT’S LIKE WALKING ON A CLOUD THEY’RE SO COMFY” so I can’t wait for her to have a pair of her own :) CAITLIN I own one of these robes and I love it, so I bought one for my mom (and an extra one for me, too!!). They’re so plush and cozy and luxe and I wanted to share the warmth. These boots are A. LOT. – especially for my hometown – but I think I love them??? I’ve been getting Instagram ads for them for months and figured that I’d finally give them a whirl at 20% off. They’re getting here next Saturday and I’ll keep y’all updated! I’ve had an iPhone 7 Plus for 4 years and it is BUSTED – there are pieces loose inside and it sounds WILD whenever it vibrates – but I finally bit the bullet and ordered an iPhone 12!!! I’ve been lusting after these beautiful leather wireless charging trays from Courant for a while and got one in cream and one in pink for my entryway and nightstand. I’m excited for the phone but REALLY excited for these. RYANN This is another Madewell purchase because WHY NOT. I’ve actually have been eyeing this top for a while as I think it’d be a really cute and versatile staple in my wardrobe. It’s still very much on sale (only $25!) and reviews say it’s comfy enough to be loungewear but cute enough to wear with jeans and boots. SOLD! I bought this custom necklace for my sister in law who is having her first baby in December (!!!). I think we all love a “Mama” necklace and this shop has fantastic reviews and you can’t beat the price! I ordered myself a pair of jeans which will come as a shock to absolutely no one. To be fair, I actually did need new ones because the holidays + a stay at home order equals my jeans miraculously shrinking on me!! So weird. I think we can all agree that Madewell’s sale was BONKERS and I couldn’t pass up these jeans that were only $30 with the 50% off deal. Now they are $60 which is still a steal. This is another gift from me to me because I’ve actually wanted this perfume for YEARS. It’s really a perfect everyday scent that is not to overwhelming and not too sweet. I’ve been staring out my window waiting for it to be delivered every since I purchased it. 5. ALBIE’S GLITTER NUTCRACKERS Albie’s glitter nutcrackers did GREAT!!! These are really cute and so Christmasy and fun. Here’s what she said about them…”Meet my very first holiday purchase for the new house! My daughter’s first thoughts were “they look like you and dad” and that made my heart smile. Hopefully, this’ll be the first of many more decor pieces that reflect us as a family.” 4. EMILY’S ETSY WOODEN MUSIC BOX WE LOVE ETSY. Em bought this wooden music box for her kids and now I wanna buy one for myself (is that weird?) Anyway, I totally get why it sold so well (especially because custom anything feels extra special in 2020). 3. ANTHROPOLOGIE LOUNGE SET Caitlin linked this in her AWESOME Black Friday post and it looks so cute and comfy NO WONDER it sold so well. We’re all pretty much living in lounge sets right now, or as we like to call them “day pajamas.” 2. MALLORY’S J. CREW DRESS In a shocking turn of events, my dress was #2!! I wore this dress to Thanksgiving dinner with my immediate family (who I’ve been quarantining with, don’t worry) and I’m planning to wear it to Christmas Eve dinner (also with my family) and for every holiday every year to come. PLUS I FOUND OUT AFTER I BOUGHT IT THAT IT HAS POCKETS. Oh and now it’s 46% off (which is more than it originally was when I linked it). Enjoy!! 1. EMILY’S PERFUME Understandably, Em’s perfume did the BEST!! Here’s what she had to say about it “I decided that this is the year I’m going to try to smell good. It’s not that I smelled bad before, but I’ve NEVER worn perfume and I don’t have a ‘scent’. After begging my more beauty/smell expert friends they both agreed that Kai smells good on literally everyone and nobody doesn’t not like it. I put it on last night after a bath and snuggled up to watch a movie with the kids and Brian and everyone, EVERYONE, was like ‘mama you smell goooooood’. It’s not overpowering, just a nice floral/gardenia scent that I LOVE. I bought the lotion and the roller ball. Brian is a BIG fan :)” So if you are wanting a fresh and pretty new scent this one is a VERY good and safe bet.
