Today we are chatting with Dominic Cruz, who is a breakup expert, on a mission to help young men and women recover from their breakup so they can be more at peace and be fulfilled to find hope and peace in their future relationships.
Today he is sharing his tops top ways to prevent your relationship from failing.
1.Getting to know each other- We are continually changing over time and it is important to be committed to getting to know each other as we evolve. Dominic’s motto is “Always be learning and always be better than yesterday”. We can do this by constantly being curious and wanting to get to know our partner- regardless of how long you have been together.
2. Date Night- its so important. A few parameters for date night is its NOT a time to talk about stressful things like the kids, or careers, or problems in the relationship. It IS for fun! It is just a few hours one night a week that you can share your passions with your partner. If you miss it this week, you do it twice the next week. Protect the time you have together, have fun, be together and do not be stressed.
3. Have a vision and share your goals – plan for ‘we’. Don’t have the mindset of what makes “me” happy. Instead have it as what makes “us” happy. When planning your life together you will find that you have different values. Make sure to share and learn each other’s values along the way. Don’t be afraid if they are different. We grow from challenges and they make our relationship stronger.

In today’s episode, I’m sitting down with Dana Malstaff, the original Boss-Mom and discussing all things Boss-Mom! She talks about how you can have great success in family life and business and what that actually looks like. We talk about what it takes to manage both of these important priorities without feeling bad about it and she gives great advice to new entrepreneurs on sticking with it, even when it seems like no one really cares.
I love how she deals with hate mail and negativity and the legacy she hopes to leave for her children. And, it’s really fun to hear about how this successful woman starts her day. Her answer might surprise you.

Today I’m republishing my most downloaded and popular episode over the past 2 years. It was also my very first remote interview, so the audio quality is not the best. I tried really hard to clean it up for you, because the content is really great.
I’m interviewing an old friend and super successful public figure in the fitness community, Steve Cook. Steve is a coach on this season of The Biggest Loser on USA Network, so I hope you will all tune in and watch along with me. Steve talks about his biggest failures, picking up the pieces, struggling to find balance and his philosophies about motivation, losing weight and getting healthy. He also talks about insecurities, critics and how he tricks himself into getting a workout in.
You can find Steve Cook on Instagram, YouTube or most other social media channels @stevecook. You can also watch him on The Biggest Loser or find his app, Fitness Culture on your mobile device.

In today’s episode, I’m sitting down with Holistic Therapist, Tara Bixby, to have a frank conversation about anxiety and depression. Tara shares some incredible tips, tricks and strategies to combat and peacefully coexist with anxiety and depression. I recommend listening to this episode with a pen and paper, because we cover a lot and we cover it quickly.
Tara mentions one of her favorite books, which was also helpful to me on the importance of good nutrition called: A Mind of Your Own by Kelly Brogan, MD. For more information and resources, you can find Tara on Instagram @courageously.u. She also has a Facebook group and a YouTube channel by the same name.
Tara is also one of our EPIC Health Summit speakers, so make sure you are registered for that by going to this link: https://onthebrightersideofhealth.com/register.
