Acts of Service

On this week’s episode of On the Brighter Side, I talk about amazing acts of service performed by friends who recognized that I was in need of some love and service. These friends brought over dinners so we could enjoy eating together as a family, even though I didn’t feel up to preparing dinner. They called and texted and stopped over with my favorite chocolates so they could check in on me. They took extra turns driving my kids to activities and invited them over to play. I was showered with love and I truly felt like God was aware of me and knew what I needed. I hope and pray that someday I will be able pay it forward for someone else in need of some love and service.

Leslee pic

This is a picture of me with my friend, Leslee, who freely gave of her time, her friendship and her love. She hung out with me all day for several days in a row, without concern for all of the things on her own to do list that were not getting done. She chatted with me, helped me with laundry and took me out to lunch. I cannot express how much her sacrifice means to me. I’m grateful for her friendship and will never forget her kindness. Thanks for your service, Leslee…you’re the BEST!!!
